Twitter May Slow down Users Ability to like Tweets Containing Misinformation

https://techcrunch.com

Twitter is working to expand the use of its “misinformation” labels on misleading tweets. The company has developed a new feature, not yet live, that would pop up a “misleading information” label when a user tries to “Like” a tweet that’s been labelled as misinformation.

A similar warning appears today when users attempt to retweet posts labelled as containing misinformation, it would appear they will use something similar for likes in the future.

NOTE: The feature was likely discovered by reverse-engineering the app to find hidden features and security vulnerabilities, so while it’s possible this may come up as a feature in the future, there is no guarantee that it will.
