Google Testing Huge Images on SERPs from AMP Pages

Looks like Google is pushing AMP content pretty hard or someone broke the SERPs layout. That design looks horrible IMHO but looks like that is a test that Goole is running at the moment where images from AMP pages pretty much takes over the SERPs. I can’t replicate this in Australia but a few people have tweeted about this so it probably is a valid test.
