Google Pushes Page Experience Update Rollout To Mid June 2021 and AMP Badge Going Away From SERPs
https://developers.google.comGoogle has just announced a few key updates related to the Page Experience Update.
- Gradual rollout starting in mid-June this year – the rollout is now expected to start mid-June 2021 and will run till August.
- Details on what will be included in the update – they will no longer show the AMP badge icon to indicate AMP content and they are expanding the usage of non-AMP content to power the core experience in Google News.
- A new Page Experience report in Search Console – they’re introducing a Page Experience report in Search Console. The Page Experience report offers valuable metrics, such as the percentage of URLs with good page experience and search impressions over time, enabling you to quickly evaluate performance. You can also now filter pages with good page experience in Search Performance report.
- Support for signed exchanges for all content on Google Search – they are announcing the general availability of signed exchanges (SXG) on Google Search for all web pages ( previously only available for AMP)
