Google Is Running Tests Which Remove Some Media Sites from Its Search Results in Australia

Google had tweaked its search and news algorithm to bury links to some commercial Australian media outlets for some users. A Google spokesperson confirmed the company was “running a few experiments that will each reach about 1% of Google Search users in Australia to measure the impacts of news businesses and Google Search on each other”.
