Google to Update Election Ads Policy in Israel on 5th June 2020, Only Verified Advertiser Can Run Ads
https://support.google.comOn June 5th, 2020, Google will update its political content policy to include an election ads policy for Israel.
Election ads in Israel are ads that feature or are run by any of the following:
- A political party, current elected officeholder, or individual candidate for the Knesset; or,
- A candidate list composed of one or more political parties for the Knesset
With this change, election ads in Israel may run only if the advertiser is verified by Google. Advertiser verification will be available in early June 2020. Google will begin enforcing its policy update in late June 2020.
