The 2020 Web Almanac’s Markup Chapter is Out

Some highlights
- 22.36% of all documents specify no lang attribute. en tops the lang attribute on the html with 18.08%

scriptis the 6th most frequently used HTML element - div, a, span are the top 3 elements used on a page
- top custom elements come from three sources: Yandex Metrics, Slider Revolution, Wix
- obsolete elements like marquee, blink, etc are still used.
