Study Shows Almost Two Thirds of All Searches Are Already Carried out on the Mobile Phone
https://www.sistrix.comAnalysis from Sistrix with around 80 million keywords and many billions of search queries shows almost two-thirds of all searches are already carried out on the mobile phone. Some of their findings include:
- Significantly more searches are carried out on the mobile phone (64%) than on the desktop (35%).
- While almost 36% of desktop users click the first result, just under 30% click the first in mobile searches. Mobile phone users click more frequently on much lower-ranking results.
- Percentage of desktop searches across different countries: UK (33.6%) Italy (32%), Japan (25%) and India (16%)
- The mid-tail searches with between 1000 and 100000 searches per month have an above-average number of mobile phone searches, while the long-tail has a comparatively high number of desktop searches.
