Twitter Launches a NEW Search API Endpoint in Twitter Developer Labs

Developers can use this endpoint to quickly understand what’s happening around a particular topic, keyword, or event. GET /labs/1/tweets/search is a RESTful endpoint that makes it easy for
developers to quickly query the Twitter API and receive matching Tweets that occurred over the past 7-days.

NOTE: this is not the existing Search API but a new version that twitter is testing, you can compare the difference here.
