Instagram Adds Reels Ads into its Marketing APIhttps://www.socialmediatoday.com
Facebook’s looking to expand the usage of Reels ads by adding Reels ad placements into its Instagram Marketing API, which will essentially enable approved third-party platforms to facilitate Reels ads creation within their digital ads flow.
This feature update will enable the following three capabilities / use cases via the Marketing API.
- Ads creation: Developers will be able to use “
INSTAGRAM_REELS” as one of the target positions when creating ads
- Ads insights: When breaking down insights by Placement level, it will be possible to see how ads perform via Instagram Reels placement
- Ad preview: Developers will be able to fetch the preview in the Instagram Reels format
