Organic Listing for Pages with Ranking Featured Snippets Is Pushed to the Top of Page 2 in SERPs

It looks like the if a web page listing is ranking as a featured snippet(position 0), they will no longer show that listing on the 1st page of the SERPs. Google believes this declutters the results & helps users locate relevant information more easily. Users have noticed that the result is punished to position 1 on Page 2.

Most rank trackers might have issues with this and your results will be out of whack till this is sorted out so don’t worry too much about the sudden drop in position to position #11 ( in most cases). Google has confirmed this and it is live right now.

One big problem with this is that on desktop when you rank for a featured snippet in the Knowledge Panel on the right your organic listing is pushed down to page 2 as well, that is bad. ( h/t Ross Winn )
