Google Will Now Tell You If Your Map Edits Are Applied or Rejected
https://www.localguidesconnect.comGoogle is updating Maps to show a list of edits in your profile that will show more information on if it was approved or rejected, etc. Please note that some of these improvements are rolling out over the next week. Here is what is new
- A reminder of what you submitted: For name, category and phone number edits, you can now see the change you suggested.
- An explanation of what’s happening: Check this line for a more descriptive explanation of the status of your edit.
- The impact of places you’ve added: You may be surprised how many people have viewed the new pizza shop or cafe you added to Maps. Browse the edits list in your profile and look for view counts on the places you added.
- The date your edit was submitted: We make a decision on 80% of edits submitted within three days. However, some edits can remain pending for up to 90 days while we collect feedback from the Local Guides community. With the date now visible, it will help you to get an idea of when you can expect your edit to be reviewed.
- Whether your edit included photos: Adding photos helps Google verify your edit. You can now see which of your edits included photos.
You can check your edits from this link. AFAIK only you can see this list. While the info you change will appear on Google, no one can see that you suggested it.
