Google Starts to Remove Right Hand Side Featured Snippets But Not All of Them are Moved Into The Organic Slot

Looks like Google has started removing the Right Hand Side Featured Snippets a.k.a Explore Panels, RankRanger has noticed a 60% drop in these. They also noticed that product/service keywords were hit hard with this. Dr Pete from Moz also pointed out that while Explore Panels started dropping out from the right they were not given the #1 spot in the organic slot similar to the regular featured snippets during the great Featured Snippet Purge of 2020.

I am not sure if the Explore Panels will end up getting the top organic slot, it will get merged into the organic listing but might not end up taking the #1 slot? What do you all think?
