Google Says Large Images and E-A-T Crucial for Appearing in Discover

In a recent session, Google’s John Mueller mentioned a few things that can help your site get picked up in the Discover feed.

• Discover traffic can be really useful for news’y sites in particular.
• Discover is less predictable/dependable
• Separate Discover content policies
• Be timely & unique
• Use dates & author information
• Use high-quality images
• Think about E-A-T

Nothing groundbreaking here but it’s good to keep in mind when optimizing for discover.
