Google Says Don’t Use FAQSchema for Repetitive Content

Adding FAQSchema is very easy with generators like these (one of my side projects) and some industries like travel and insurance have kinda gone overboard with it. So it’s no surprise Google wants to put the breaks on SEOs misusing FAQSchema, they have updated the guidelines to say

If you have FAQ content that is repetitive on your site (meaning, the same question and answer appear on multiple pages on your site), mark up only one instance of that FAQ for your entire site.

I am willing to bet it won’t be long before we have a FAQSchema penalty.
