Google Confirms the Two Recent Indexing Issue

Google has confirmed they are currently working to resolve two separate indexing issues that have impacted some URLs. One is with mobile-indexing. The other is with canonicalization, how they detect and handle duplicate content. In either case, pages might not be indexed. We did cover these issue recently and it’s good to get an official confirmation from Google. AFAIK they haven’t given a time frame for resolving the issue.

Google says that webmasters don’t have to take any action, but if you notice a page is out of the index jumping on to Search console and asking the page to be index can help, I had this issue with a URL on my site yesterday and resubmitting did bring it back in a few mins.
