Google ‘Accidentally’ Pushes Banner Promoting Their Widget On 3rd Party AMP Pages

Care for free advertisement on content from sites like New York Times, The Wall Street Journal? Google had a bug where they injected a banner promoting their widget on content from publishers like New York Times, The Wall Street Journal on their AMP pages.

I wonder if something like this might happen when publishers sign up for Signed Exchanges and roll it out.

This appears to be a bug rather than any intended behavior. We're investigating it now and expect it will be cleared up shortly.
