Google Will Start to Pause Google Ads Accounts for Policy Violations

Looks like Google is gearing up to start a new enforcement action for advertisers who violate their Google Ads policies. Google Ads accounts will be paused if they fail to complete advertiser identity verification when notified. Obviously, paused accounts cannot run any ads.

They can also temporarily pause accounts to conduct investigations if they identify potentially harmful advertiser behaviour. Unlike the usual run around of asking them in the support forum in the hopes of someone answering it, you get to drop the message directly to them via a contact form to appeal the decision if you believe the action has been taken in error.
