Google Is Rolling out Commissions (Per Stay) Hotel Ads and Free Cancellation Filter for Hotels Searches
https://support.google.comGoogle is testing a commissions (per stay) program allowing Hotel ads partners to pay a commission only if a traveller stays at the hotel, automatically adjusting Hotel ads bids to maximize booking value. This program is now open for global participation by all Hotel ads partners.
Unlike commissions (per stay), commissions (per conversion) will optimize for the value of bookings without considering the possibility of cancellations. With commissions (per conversion), you are charged a percentage of booking value for conversions, not guest stays.
In the next few weeks, they will also roll out a “Free Cancellation” filter for users searching for hotels and highlight which hotel rates are refundable when users are looking to book. Additionally, they are making it easier for partners to share this information through their global partner cancellation policies.
