Shopify Brings Support for Different Types of Metafields and Custom Content
https://twitter.comShopify is pushing out a major update to metafields that makes it easier to manage your store’s metadata. With support for additional Metafields, merchants can now add their own attributes to models like products and product variants, with support for other models like customers and orders coming later this year.
Custom Content is also coming soon, it will be built on top of the new Metafields infrastructure and will serve as Shopify’s Content Management platform. It will allow merchants to store content of any format within Shopify.
Whether it’s testimonials or size charts, content is a 🔑 part of your store’s brand.
Coming soon, our new content management platform — powered by metafields — will make it possible to create content & publish it to any channel.
Stay tuned for 3rd party CMS integrations too 👀 pic.twitter.com/Lh22k0QS8X

- Git integration
- Theme Store will open for new submissions on July 15th
- Display local pricing based on a buyer’s location
