Microsoft Owned Github has Acquired npm

Microsoft is acquiring npm (the world’s most popular JavaScript package manager)  Microsoft plans to integrate GitHub with npm with the intent of making the combined community even more appealing to developers and plans to keep the npm registry available as open-source and free to developers.  npm servees roughly 12 million developers worldwide, who make around 75 billion downloads of these packages every month.
