Google to Remain Default Search Engine on Firefox

https://www.searchenginejournal.com

Google is renewing its deal with Mozilla to ensure it remains the default search engine on Firefox. Sources told The Register the deal is worth well into the nine figures – anywhere from $400 to $450 million per year.

Currently, Firefox holds 7.91% of desktop browser market share in the US, and 8.61% market share worldwide. By renewing its deal with parent company Mozilla, Google is cementing its spot as the default search provider on one of the world’s leading desktop web browsers.
